Description
Olea europaea Kalamata is one of the world’s best known table olive varieties, valued for its bold flavour and glossy dark fruit. Its upright, dense habit and silver backed foliage create a strong Mediterranean aesthetic, making it equally suited to feature planting, avenues, hedging or espalier. A tough, evergreen choice that thrives in hot, dry conditions, it performs exceptionally well across Melbourne and much of Australia. All fruit requires processing before eating, and the tree itself is long lived, low water and highly resilient.
