Description

Pyrus betulaefolia Southworth Dancer is a refined deciduous ornamental pear known for its birch like foliage and clean pyramidal form. Leaves turn a soft, warm yellow in autumn, providing seasonal colour, while pretty white blossoms emerge later than many other ornamental pears, extending the spring display. Growing to around 7 metres tall and 4.5 metres wide, it makes an excellent feature tree for both residential and commercial landscapes. With high tolerance to drought, frost and wind, it performs reliably across Melbourne and broader southern Australian climates.

    Key Features:

    • Deciduous ornamental pear with birch like green foliage.
    • Soft yellow autumn colour and late white spring blossoms.
    • Strong drought, frost and wind tolerance.
    • Excellent for feature planting in residential or commercial landscapes.
    • Neat pyramidal habit with moderate maintenance needs.
