Description
Olea europaea Tolleys Upright is a narrow, upright and dense form of olive selected for its compact habit, silver toned foliage and low fruiting behaviour. It provides a strong Mediterranean look in gardens while requiring very little ongoing maintenance. The dense growth makes it an ideal choice for hedges, screens, avenues and clipped structural forms. Tolleys Upright performs reliably in full sun with low water needs and tolerates coastal exposure, heat and a range of well drained soils.

- Soil: Prefers well drained soils. Adaptable to loam, sand and gravel mixes.
- Light: Full sun essential for dense growth and reliable fruiting.
- Watering: Low water needs once established. Moderate watering during establishment.
- Fertiliser: Apply slow release fertiliser annually to maintain vigour.
- Maintenance: Clip once or twice per year to maintain a strong upright line.
- Flowering: Like most olives, the tree produces small creamy-white flowers in spring, but fruit production is generally light and not the main feature.
