Description

Grevillea lanigera Mt Tamboritha is a low-growing, spreading native groundcover with soft, woolly foliage and delicate pinkish-red and cream flowers in spring. The small, oval leaves are covered in fine hairs that give them a distinctive silver-green to bluish tinge, creating attractive texture year-round. Rich in nectar, the flowers are a magnet for birds and pollinators, making this a rewarding addition to any wildlife-friendly garden.

Highly adaptable and easy to grow, Mt Tamboritha thrives in full sun in well-drained loam or sandy soils and tolerates coastal conditions, light frost, and extended dry periods. Growing to approximately 15 to 30cm tall and spreading 1 to 2m wide, it is an excellent choice for groundcover, rockeries, embankments, verges, and container plantings. Note that it does not perform well in humid conditions.
