Description
Magnolia Sweet Spire is a compact evergreen magnolia prized for its narrow upright growth and glossy foliage. The leaves are deep green on the upper surface with a distinctive rusty brown underside, creating texture and contrast in the landscape. During the warmer months the tree produces large fragrant white magnolia flowers that add a classic garden fragrance. Its narrow form makes it ideal for hedging, screening, or feature planting in smaller gardens where traditional magnolias would become too wide.

- Soil: Prefers well drained soil and adapts well to clay, loam or sandy soils if drainage is adequate.
- Light: Performs best in full sun but also grows well in semi shade.
- Watering: Water regularly during establishment to develop a deep root system.
- Fertiliser: Apply a slow release fertiliser annually in spring to support healthy growth.
- Maintenance: Very low maintenance. Light pruning can maintain shape if used as a hedge.
