Description

Buxus microphylla microphylla, commonly known as Korean Box or Korean Boxwood, is a low, dense evergreen shrub with soft, glossy green leaves that are smaller and finer than most other Buxus varieties. It naturally forms a neat, rounded habit and does not have the unpleasant scent sometimes associated with Buxus sempervirens. This variety is well suited to low hedging, pathway definition, courtyards, pots, and coastal plantings, and can be clipped into formal or informal shapes with ease.

Key Features:

  • Low, dense evergreen shrub with fine glossy green foliage.
  • Leaves are smaller and softer than most traditional box varieties.
  • Does not have the strong scent associated with some box hedges.
  • Ideal for low hedging, borders, courtyards, and container planting.
  • Responds well to clipping and shaping for formal or informal designs.
