Description

Acmena smithii, commonly known as Lilly Pilly, is one of the most widely planted native hedging plants in Australia. It forms a dense, rounded shrub or small tree with glossy evergreen foliage that flushes with bronze to orange new growth. In spring, small white flowers appear, followed by edible pink to red berries that attract birdlife and can be used for preserves.
