Description

Grevillea preissii 'Seaspray' is a hardy, low growing shrub native to Western Australia. It forms a dense, spreading mat of soft grey foliage and produces clusters of red spider style flowers from winter into spring, bringing colour when many gardens are quiet. Its prostrate habit makes it ideal for covering banks and rocky sites, suppressing weeds, and providing habitat for pollinators and small birds. Once established, it’s low maintenance and thrives in coastal conditions.

Key Features:

  • Silver grey foliage offering soft texture and year round contrast.
  • Spidery red flowers in winter and spring.
  • Low spreading habit ideal for groundcover and erosion control.
  • Excellent tolerance to wind and coastal exposure.
  • Strong attraction for nectar feeding birds.
  • Performs well in sandy and well drained soils.
  • Low maintenance with moderate drought tolerance.
